Your Egyptian adventure simply must include an unforgettable visit to Abu Simbel. Considered by many to be some of the finest examples of New Kingdom monuments, these impressive masterpieces will simply inspire you.
Today you'll meet our representative in front of your hotel before boarding a private air-conditioned vehicle to transfer to the airport where we'll fly to Abu Simbel.
During your visit to these unique temples, your guide will help point out the glory and grandeur of the new Kingdom, and what the two Temples of Abu Simbel represented during their time. These UNESCO designated sites have been saved from floods and vandals, and today stand in all their glory.
As you walk around the grounds, you will be treated to amazing relics of the ancient past, including the Temple of Ramses II, which was dedicated to the gods Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and to Ramsses II himself. The so called "Sun Temple" shines in the bright day, and is a perfect photo opportunity. After the temples, you will also visit the Temple of Queen Nefartiti.
At the end of the day, you will return back to Abu Simbel airport to fly to Aswan where you will be transferred back to your hotel.
